Sudbury Regional Hospital has received a partial designation under the French Language Services Act.

?When you consider there are approximately 50,000 French-speaking residents in the City of Greater Sudbury and many other communities in the hospital?s referral area are 85 to 90 per cent francophone, it is very important that we provide French-language services,? said Françoise Ranger, chair of the hospital?s French-language services advisory committee.

The hospital plans to obtain full designation once it has moved to the one-site location.
