Sudbury Regional Hospital has been selected by the Office of the Auditor General to participate in a performance audit of surgical facilities.
The audit will focus on the management and use of surgical facilities including the pre-admission process.
The audit exercise will begin this week and will involve both the Memorial and St. Joseph's Health Centre operating room suites.
The hospital is pleased to participate in the audit, said CEO Vickie Kaminski, in a release.
“Every year, the hospital participates in various performance measurement exercises that assess the quality and efficiency of our services, including the Ontario Hospital Association's Hospital Report Card, patient satisfaction surveys, as well as benchmarking exercises that show how well we perform compared to other peer group hospitals in Ontario,” she said.
“These types of efficiency exercises help us deliver high quality and efficient patient services.”
