Greater Sudbury Fire Services say they have responded to two fires in different parts of the city this afternoon.
At 1:20 p.m., Deputy Fire Chief Jesse Oshell said in a tweet crews were on scene at the South End Canadian Tire to deal with a cardboard dumpster on fire.
There is no risk to the store or personnel, he said, although firefighters were still on scene as of 2:13 p.m.
A post on the Valley East Facebook message board this afternoon indicates the store is currently closed due to the fire.
Shortly after 2 p.m., Oshell said in another tweet that fire crews were also on scene at a house fire on King Street. He said the fire is under control and smoke is being ventilated.
