The Chief Electoral Officer has released the final election expenses limits for political parties and candidates in the Oct. 21 federal election.

According to a press release issued Saturday by the independent, non-partisan agency Elections Canada, this data is based on the number of names on the preliminary lists of electors or the revised lists of electors, depending on whichever is greater. 

Final election expenses limits for candidates within Ontario range from $101,746.82 (Don Valley East) to $135,452.62 (Simcoe-Grey), with Sudbury low on the spectrum at $105,161.35 and Nickel Belt a bit higher with $119,720.01. 

In regards to the 21 registered political parties, the Conservative, Green, New Democratic, and Liberal Party Canada are at the top of the list, with a final expenses limit of $29,060,308.97. In comparison, the Stop Climate Change party has the lowest election expense limit of $192,426.15.
