How often do you visit your municipal playground? What do you like best and least about the outdoor play area near your home? Do you have ideas for new play structures or landscape design?

Share your thoughts online at www.greatersudbury.ca/yourplayground or on paper at any branch of the Greater Sudbury Public Library.

This survey closes on Friday, Nov. 3 at 4:30 p.m.

Municipal playgrounds are easily accessible park spaces, serving the recreational and social needs of homes within an approximate 10 minute walking distance. The City of Greater Sudbury maintains 189 playgrounds in local neighbourhoods and larger community parks.

"Playgrounds add so much quality of life to a neighbourhood and are an important cornerstone to being a healthy community," said Mayor Brian Bigger.

"I encourage residents from across the community to share their thoughts with the City about how these important spaces are used in their neighbourhood and how they can be improved so that we can establish a new standard for all municipal playgrounds."

Staff from Greater Sudbury Leisure Services will travel to 12 playgrounds to gather feedback during neighbourhood huddle open houses. All residents are invited to attend with their children.
