Bill Huffman has resigned as curator of The Art Gallery of Sudbury.
Over a three-year term, he has played a vital role in numerous initiatives and projects that have earned the gallery national and international recognition.
He has been an outspoken supporter of local creators, promoting northern Ontario work through many gallery exhibitions and on the world stage with projects in Canada and Europe.
At the end of October, Huffman will begin his new appointment as visual/media arts and literary officer with the Toronto Arts Council.
The community has organized a bon voyage reception to take place 10 pm Thursday Oct. 17 at Respect is Burning, 82 Durham St. in downtown Sudbury.
