Hundreds eat a hot turkey meal at No One Eats Alone event on Christmas Day

Ward 2 Coun. Michael Vagnini thanks all who helped make the event a success

More than 300 people attended the No One Eats Alone event on Christmas Day, organized by Ward 2 Coun. Michael Vagnini.

The event took place at the Northbury Hotel this year.

“I just want to take this opportunity to say thank you to everyone that helped out this year,” Vagnini said in a Facebook post. “We had over 65 volunteers and over 300 people in attendance.

“We also had the privilege to serve the Greater Sudbury Police Service members who were working on Christmas Day. The Sudbury Police Association is one of our No. 1 sponsors.

“We still had enough turkey and trimmings to serve dinner to senior residents in Ward 2. This year, we were also able to provide turkeys to all our clients in the Walden Food Bank and turkeys to some needy families within our schools.

“I wholeheartedly thank everybody who made Christmas Day a great success. I’m privileged to work for the people of Ward 2 and the Greater City.”
