I ‘comb,’ I saw, I conquered: St. David students win big for hair flair

Local students clean up in provincial ‘wacky hairstyle’ contest

St. David Catholic Elementary School students’ hair flair recently won them some awards.

The school was recently inspired by the Skills Ontario #SkillsAnywhereChallenge series to create a school-wide Wacky Hair Day Contest.

Students from JK to Grade 6 showed their creativity and talent, with students at the school placing first, second and third in the province-wide contest.

The #SkillsAnywhereChallenge series is a fun way for Ontario students of all ages to develop their skills and explore the skilled trades and technologies.

On the first Monday of every month, Skills Ontario launches a new challenge that tests students’ skills in creativity and planning. The April challenge was Wacky Hairstyle.

Jessica Pawson took home first place, Jayla Emmanuel second place and Elizabeth Akanmu third place.
