The highway was fully reopened as of 5 a.m. Friday morning.

There's also another road closure in the Timmins area to report — Highway 101 is closed in both directions from Timmins to the Quebec border due to the weather.

A small portion of Highway 144 has been reopened after being closed earlier this afternoon due to weather conditions.

Originally closed from Lively to Timmins, the highway is now closed from Cartier to Timmins, according to the Ministry of Transportation site @511ONNortheast.
