As the snow begins to melt, the Sudbury Infant Food Bank is reflecting on its 10th annual "All We Need for Christmas" fundraising campaign.

The campaign is an annual fundraising intiative held to support infants in our community whose parents are struggling to provide baby essentials such as diapers, food and clothing.

The initial "All We Need for Christmas" campaign was held in 2009 and raised more than $40,000 in monetary donations. This year, with the support of the Greater Sudbury community and the fundraising efforts of Petryna Advertising, the campaign raised a record-breaking $131,650 worth of baby supplies, food and monetary donations.

“Year over year I am in awe of the generosity Greater Sudbury businesses and citizens show for this initiative," said Infant Food Bank executive director Dedee Flietstra. "Whether it is a box of formula or a pack of onesies, it means the world to our families.”

While the "All We Need for Christmas" campaign is only offered during the month of December, the Sudbury Infant Food Bank accepts donations year-round to support community need.

There are currently 800 families within Greater Sudbury registered for the IFB relief program, which provides practical support twice a month. Find more information on IFB and how to register for support online here.
