Sudbury MPP Jamie West hosts a town hall tonight (June 19) to discuss the cuts to Legal Aid Ontario.
West will MC the event and join speakers from Sudbury’s legal community to educate the public on what the cuts mean for Sudbury.
The meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. at the Parkside Centre on Durham Street and will run until 8 p.m.
Joining West will be Terry Copes, executive director of the Sudbury Community Legal Clinic, Laura Hall, professor of Indigenous Social Work at Laurentian University, and Odette St. Gelais.
All are welcome to attend.
