Knights of Columbus donates $20K to local charities

For the past seven years, the Knights of Columbus Council 3909 of Walden-Copper Cliff has partnered with the Boardwalk Gaming Centre to raise money for charities in the Greater Sudbury area.

The council donated a total of $20,000 to be shared between several local charities during a presentation Thursday at the Boardwalk Gaming Centre on Notre Dame Ave.

Among those present were representatives from various local charities such as Maison McCullogh Hospice, Childhood/Enfance, Alzheimer Society, Arthritis Society, Diabetes Association, CTV/Lions Children Christmas Telethon.

To date, the council has donated more than $75,000 for local charities.
