On Feb.26, the Knights of Columbus presented the McCulloch Hospice with a donation of $84,000, three years ahead of schedule in their commitment of a $100,000 sponsorship.

The partnership was born May 2017 at a meeting of the Diocesan Association, where leaders of local french and english Knights of Columbus councils meet to discuss matters of their communities.

Following a presentation by the McCulloch Hospice, the Knights of Columbus agreed to sponsor a respite room for a contribution of $100,000 over the span of five years.

"All councils already support the Hospice each in their own capacity," said a press release. "All were hesitant to take on an addititional task, but all agreed to make an effort."

The Knights of Columbus were able to raise $55,000 in calendar sales over the past year and a half, which in addition to the $29,000 of donations from individual councils, combined to a total of $84,000.

Three years ahead of schedule, the Knights of Columbus said in a press release that they feel confident they can reach their goal of $100,000 by the end of this year.
