KPMG in Canada is donating $50,000 to NEO Kids Foundation and Northern Cancer Foundation.

“We are thrilled that KPMG has chosen to contribute to NEO Kids Foundation,” said Patricia Mills, President of NEO Kids Foundation.

“NEO Kid month was about our community coming together to stand up for our smallest, most vulnerable patients. KPMG is helping to be a voice to all the young patients, and their families, that have to make the journey to southern Ontario and beyond for health care and treatment throughout the year."

Northern Cancer Foundation is accepting the $25,000 donation to go toward the Sam Bruno P.E.T. Scan Fund.

The donation will be added alongside other various pledges from the region, helping reach the funds needed to purchase a P.E.T. Scanner. The Sam Bruno P.E.T. Scan Fund was created to honour Sam Bruno who became a strong advocate for Position Emission tomography scanning, and hoped to one day bring a P.E.T. Scanner to Greater Sudbury to help patients across northeastern Ontario.

“We’re very, very pleased with KPMG’s contribution to the Sam Bruno P.E.T. Scan Fund," said Tannys Laughren, Executive Director of the Northern Cancer Foundation.

"Their donation will be added to our fundraising total as we collect pledges from Northeastern Ontario municipalities,” “KPMG’s donation to both us and the NEO Kids Foundation is a generous one to two very worthy causes – we’re quite thankful.”

“We are pleased to support Health Sciences North with two very important projects that will make a positive impact for the residents of Greater Sudbury and Northeastern Ontario,” said Oscar Poloni, Managing Partner for KPMG’s Northern Ontario office.

“Giving back to our communities is an important priority for us at KPMG.”
