Lasalle Secondary School students Jamie Bonany and Troy Bertrand played Nipissing University's online Stock Market Game and placed second and third respectively among 3,400 students from across the province.

The two were given $100,000 of fictitious money to buy, trade and sell stocks from the Toronto Stock Exchange.

The students who made the most money at the end of a four-month trading period, from September 2005 to January 2006, won the competition.

Overall, Lasalle's top participating business students earned the highest portfolio of all competitors.

Bonany and Bertrand along with Lasalle's business teacher Leo Leclair travel to North Bay Wednesday to collect a special prize for the school.
