Greater Sudbury mayor Brian Bigger addresses the community today. The livestream began at 2 p.m.

The mayor began the livestream by declaring a state of emergency in Greater Sudbury. 

The mayor and health officials provide a COVID-19 update. Top bureaucrats were also available for the media to ask questions.

Joining the mayor will be Dr. Penny Sutcliffe, Medical Officer of Health and CEO, Public Health Sudbury & Districts, Dominic Giroux, President and CEO, Health Sciences North, Paul Pedersen, Chief of Police, City of Greater Sudbury, Ed Archer, Chief Administrative Officer, City of Greater Sudbury and Joseph Nicholls, Chief of Fire and Paramedic Services, and General Manager of Community Safety, City of Greater Sudbury.

The meeting is scheduled to start a 2 p.m. and will be followed by questions from the media.
