WATCH: The auditor who uncovered the Liberals' Fair Hydro bait and switch speaks in Sudbury today

Sudbury.com will livestream Bonnie Lysyk's remarks from Bryston's On The Park

Sudbury.com will be livestreaming this afternoon when Ontario Auditor General Bonnie Lysyk speaks at a Greater Sudbury Chamber of Commerce luncheon at Bryston's On The Park in Copper Cliff.

Lysyk made headlines last year when she blasted the Fair Hydro Plan, revealing billions in added costs because of the convoluted way in which the plan was structured to allow the outgoing Liberal government to claim they had balanced the budget. It was also her office that revealed the cost of cancelling gas plants in Mississauga and Oakville before the 2011 election – to help Liberal MPPs — was $1.1 billion.

Lysyk became the province's 13th auditor general in September 2013, after being the Provincial Auditor of Saskatchewan and Deputy Auditor General and Chief Operating Officer of Manitoba.

She has held senior positions in both the private and public sectors during a 25-year career spent in three provinces. She has extensive audit, finance, risk management and governance experience.
