Six Lockerby Composite School students got haircuts March 24 to donate their long locks to help make wigs for cancer patients going through chemotherapy. The haircuts were part of a rally ahead of the school's annual cancer drive. File photo.

As part of their annual Kids Caring for Kids: Remembering Laura Cotesta campaign, Lockerby Composite School students will be canvassing Greater Sudbury this evening, Wednesday, April 13.

Since the Kids Caring for Kids campaign began 20 years ago, Lockerby Vikings have raised nearly $750,000 for pediatric cancer care at the Northeast Cancer Centre. When the students come to your house in green and gold please open your doors, hearts and wallets.

We would like to take this opportunity to remind drivers to be extra attentive on the roads Wednesday evening with the increased foot traffic.
