Male community leaders help launch ManiCURES Campaign

Some familiar faces got their nails done today in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Mayor Brian Bigger, Police Chief Paul Pedersen and Hot 93.5's G-Rant were amongst the group of brave men who had their finger nails painted pink during the launch of the annual ManiCURES Campaign at the Serendipity Day Spa on Oct. 2.

For the month of October, Serendipity Day Spa will be donating a portion of the proceeds from pink manicures, pink pedicures and pink hair extensions. Fundraising revenue will support the Canadian Cancer Society's breast cancer research initiatives.

Breast cancer is still the most commonly diagnosed cancer and the second leading cause of cancer-related death among Canadian women.

For more information on how to get involved with Breast Cancer Awareness Month visit the Canadian Cancer Society's website or Canadian Cancer Society Sudbury on Facebook.
