Laurentian University commerce and administration students are making decisions for running a shoe company.
Laurentian University commerce and administration students are making decisions for running a shoe company. This new responsibility was granted to a select group of student managers taking part in the LU Commerce Business Strategy Game sponsored by CMA Canada.

As part of this computer-simulated business challenge, some 90 students will be divided into 15 teams.

During the exercise, which takes place over the next seven days, students will formulate annual business plans. They will manage the company's objectives, assets and manpower, research competitive initiatives and respond to external factors, such as world economic conditions, tariffs, exchange and interest rates.

The winning team will receive a $1,000 cash prize sponsored by CMA Canada. Also, each member will receive a pair of shoes from Nike. There is a $600 cash prize for second place and a $400 third prize for the most improved team, both sponsored by Inco Ltd.
