Lynne Reynolds, a former city councillor and mayoral candidate in the 2006 election, will represent the Conservative Party of Canada in Nickel Belt during the next federal election.
Reynolds was acclaimed at the annual general meeting of the Nickel Belt Conservative Riding on Jan. 12.
"(Reynolds) worked on Parliament Hill for several years as a trusted advisor to a federal cabinet minister on matters affecting northern Ontario and has broad experience in business and communications," Charles Martin, president of the Nickel Belt association, stated in a press release.
"Ms. Reynolds is an action-oriented person with a strong work ethic and a passion for northern Ontario," he said. "She is also bilingual and will be a most effective advocate for the people of Nickel Belt."
