While Greater Sudbury Fire Services says the Dupuis Drive barn fire is now under control, many piled hay bales are still burning. Heavy equipment is en route to assist in firefighting operations, the fire department said in a tweet issued at 9:17 a.m.

Firefighters are on scene of a major barn fire on Dupuis Drive in Hanmer, Greater Sudbury Fire Services reported in a tweet issued at 8 a.m. Friday.
All animals have been safely evacuated.
People are being asked asked to avoid the area.
