As expected, Alexander Stavropoulos has pleaded guilty to two attempted murder charges in a Sudbury courtroom this morning.

The 25-year-old was charged in June 2019 after a vicious, random attack on a mother and her infant in the parking lot of a retail location on Marcus Drive. The woman was stabbed in the neck and the infant repeatedly punched.

The intervention of a Good Samaritan likely prevented the attack from going further.

This is a developing story. More to come.
