Man reportedly injured in shooting at Walmart on Lasalle Boulevard

A 20-year-old man is reported to have sustained non life-threatening injuries in a Thursday night shooting at the Walmart on Lasalle Boulevard

A 20-year-old man sustained non life-threatening injuries in a shooting at the Walmart on Lasalle Boulevard earlier tonight, according to a tweet by the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

The tweet was issued at approximately 10:45 p.m., and police were still seen on site at around 11 p.m., where a few cruisers were stationed outside the main entrance and a police officer was seen from a window walking inside the building itself. The area was taped off.

A live video posted by someone to Facebook showed police on site at approximately 9:30 p.m.

Greater Sudbury Police Service is actively investigating the firearms incident, which they believe to be an isolated incident. 

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police.
