Cody Cacciotti adopted the Laurentian University blood donor clinic on Sept. 17.

An ambitious goal of 58 individual donations in just four hours was surpassed on Sept. 17 in the West residence of Laurentian University.

In total 66 people donated lifesaving blood products to hospital patients in need.

“I am simply overwhelmed by the support we saw today at Laurentian,” said mayoral candidate Cody Cacciotti.

“It was inspiring to see so many people make the decision to help a neighbour in need. We will never know who received our donation but we do know that it was important and maybe even saved a life. Many of the people I met today were first time donors, and I’d like to thank them especially for taking the first step toward becoming a regular donor to Canadian Blood Services”

As part of their dedication to the community, Cody Cacciotti adopted the Laurentian University blood donor clinic and committed to recruit new donors and help fill appointments at the clinic held Monday Sept. 17.

By adopting a clinic, organizations and community groups can make a difference in the lives of patients in need.
