In the final few days of the 2018 municipal election campaign, Greater Sudbury mayoral incumbent Brian Bigger is thanking everyone who has participated in the process, including his fellow candidates.

“I think the one thing we can all agree on is that it is not easy putting your name forward to run,” Bigger said.

“The scrutiny, the schedule, the debates, the surveys and door-knocking all take time away from friends, family and loved ones. We have all pursued office to make our city a better place and regardless of the results Monday – I am proud to have been part of this race with you.

“Once Monday passes I do hope we can all work together with one vision for a stronger city. We are family of communities and though we have our differences – we are all still members of one unified community.”

He also said that if given the opportunity, he looks forward “to serving all residents of each part of Greater Sudbury for four more years.

“It has been an honour and I would be truly honoured to continue as your Mayor.”

October 19, 2018 - I would like to take the time, as we enter the final few days of voting and election day eventually arrives to thank everyone for participating, taking the time to listen, making their voices heard and being part of the future of Greater Sudbury.

I would also like to thank each of the candidates for Mayor. I think the one thing we can all agree on is that it is not easy putting your name forward to run.

The scrutiny, the schedule, the debates, the surveys and door-knocking all take time away from friends, family and loved ones. We have all pursued office to make our City a better place and regardless of the results Monday – I am proud to have been part of this race with you.

Once Monday passes I do hope we can all work together with one vision for a stronger City. We are family of communities and though we have our differences – we are all still members of one unified community.

During this campaign I have touched each part of Greater Sudbury – from Capreol to Coniston, Lively to Levack, Downtown, New Sudbury and all points in between. I have learned we are a resilient, strong and diverse city.

If given the opportunity, I look forward to serving all residents of each part of Greater Sudbury for four more years.

It has been an honour and I would be truly honoured to continue as your Mayor.

Sincerely,
Brian Bigger
