Sudbury McDonald's owner and operator Brad Haines recently raised $3,918.39 to support Greater Sudbury families by asking customers to add $1 to their order.

The funds will support families using the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Health Sciences North (HSN) or staying at the Ronald McDonald House in Toronto to be close to their critically ill child in hospital.

“I am proud to donate a portion of our sales to Ronald McDonald House Charities daily,” Haines told Sudbury.com. “We decided, however, to go a bit above and beyond as COVID-19 has had a significant impact on HSNs Ronald McDonald Family rooms fundraising efforts.”

Haines has partnered up with NEO Kids for several fundraising initiatives in the past.

Haines operates nine restaurants in the Greater Sudbury area, including the McDonald’s location at 1740 Regent St. South.
