McDougall Energy in cooperation with Imperial Oil has generously donated $10,000 to the NEO Kids Foundation in support of children’s health care services at Health Sciences North (HSN).

This donation brings the total contributions to HSN to $45,000 since 2013.

As a third generation family owned business, McDougall Energy is an Imperial Oil distributer that has been servicing Ontario fuel and lubricant customers for the last 70 years.

“What an incredible honour it is to be once again partnered with the Health Sciences North Foundation in their endeavor of expanding the NEO Kids facility,” said Darren McDougall, McDougall Energy President.

“It is important to support the communities in which we operate, and we believe in the importance of keeping healthcare local. The NEO Kids Foundation has done some amazing work and we are pleased to continue our support of children’s health care excellence in the North.”

McDougall Energy through its Community Investment Program and through Esso Community Program support projects in response to local community needs. Both programs were created to support initiatives that have positive impact on the community.

“Supporting the communities we serve is a priority for us,” said Martyn Iles, Senior Fuels Account Executive, Fuels Marketing – Wholesale & Specialties, Imperial Oil.

“We and McDougall Energy have a long and proud history, and we are pleased to support the NEO Kids Foundation via the Esso Community Program.  Our clients are the center of everything we do and we are proud to be involved with a cause that means so much to Sudbury families.”

The donation will support NEO Kids, Northeastern Ontario’s hub for specialized children’s care, which currently treats thousands of children every year. HSN is looking to expand the NEO Kids facility to accommodate the demand for specialized children’s services in the north.

“We are very appreciative of McDougall Energy’s continuous generosity and support of NEO Kids and the health of our community,” said Patricia Mills, NEO Kids Foundation President.

“This donations means that we are one step closer to ensuring all of our sick children will be treated closer to home.”

NEO Kids is currently home to six pediatricians and provides over 20 specialized pediatric services including allergy, asthma and rheumatology clinics.
