Monique Aubin-Gagné tapped as Nouvelon trustee

Conseil scolaire catholique Nouvelon has selected educator Monique Aubin-Gagné to fill a vacant trustee position on the board until the next school board elections this October.

She is filling the trustee position left vacant after the recent passing of veteran trustee André Bidal,

The board had invited those interested in filling the role to submit their resumes, and trustees selected Aubin-Gagné at a May 31 meeting. She will represent constituents living in Greater Sudbury’s Zone 5 (Wards 7 to 12).

Having worked for 26 years at the Conseil scolaire catholique de district des Grandes Rivières, Aubin-Gagné held the position of teaching assistant and later teacher at École Sainte-Thérèse School (Ramore). 

Afterwards, she was principal of École Sainte-Thérèse and École Immaculée-Conception (Val Gagné). Ms. Aubin-Gagné completed a Bachelor's degree in Religious Studies and Education at Laurentian University, a Master's degree in Educational Psychology at Laurentian University as well as specialists in Special Education and Religious Education.

“We are looking forward to welcoming Monique Aubin-Gagné to our team of school board trustees,” said Suzanne Salituri, CSC Nouvelon President, in a press release.

“Having worked in French-language Catholic schools in Ramore and Val Gagné, she will be able to contribute to the excellence of CSC Nouvelon schools and defend the interests of our students.”
