More than 20 school bus route cancellations in effect this week due to impacts of COVID

There are 104 active cases of COVID in area schools, along with 7 school outbreaks, and another on a school bus

There are more than 20 active bus route cancellations in the Greater Sudbury area either due to driver shortages and COVID-19 exposures, according to the Sudbury Student Services Consortium.

There are also 104 active cases of COVID-19 in area schools, along with seven active school outbreaks, and one active school bus outbreak.

The active school bus route cancellations are as follows:

  • The following routes are cancelled due to a driver shortage during the week of Nov. 29: L012, L014, L016, L103, L114, L120, L122, L128, L808, L811 (afternoon only) and L816.
  • A COVID-19 exposure has cancelled the morning elementary portion of bus Route N423. It will resume Friday, Dec. 3. The affected schools are Valleyview and Immaculate Conception.
  • There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the morning intermediate/secondary portion of bus Route N314. It will resume Monday, Dec. 6. The affected schools are Bishop Alexander Carter, MacDonald Cartier, Lockerby, LoEllen and Marymount Academy. Due to this cancellation, all morning and afternoon runs on Route N314 are cancelled.
  • There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the afternoon intermediate/secondary portion of bus Route N308. The route will resume Monday, Dec. 6. The affected schools are Bishop Alexander Carter and Ecole Secondaire Hanmer. Due to this cancellation, all morning and afternoon runs on Route N308 are cancelled.
  • There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the morning intermediate/secondary portion of bus Route NW427. The route will resume Monday, Dec. 6. The affected schools are Bishop Alexander Carter, MacDonald Cartier and Ecole Secondaire Hanmer. Due to this cancellation, all morning and afternoon runs on Route NW427 are cancelled.
  • There has been a COVID-19 exposure on the afternoon intermediate/secondary portion of bus Route L300. The route will resume Monday, Dec. 6. The affected schools are Bishop Alexander Carter, College Notre-Dame, Lockereby, Lo-Ellen, Sudbury Secondary, Marymount and MacDonald Cartier. Due to this cancellation, all morning and afternoon runs on Route L300 are cancelled.
  • A COVID-19 exposure has cancelled the afternoon elementary portion of bus Route N882. The route will resume Monday, Dec. 6. The affected schools are Holy Cross and Algonquin.
  • A COVID-19 exposure has cancelled the afternoon elementary portion of bus Route N425. The route will resume Friday, Dec. 3. The affected school is Immaculate Conception.
  • A COVID-19 exposure has cancelled the morning elementary portion of bus Route L805. The route will resume Monday, Dec. 6. The affected schools are Holy Cross and Algonquin.
  • A COVID-19 exposure has cancelled the morning intermediate/secondary portion of bus Route L115. The route will resume Monday, Dec. 6. The affected schools are Lasalle Secondary and Lasalle Elementary 7&8.
  • A COVID-19 exposure has cancelled the afternoon intermediate/secondary portion of bus Route N104 - The Route is cancelled and will resume Monday, Dec. 6. The affected schools are Lasalle Secondary and Lasalle Elementary 7&8.
