Nickel Belt MPP France Gélinas and her office have partnered with Canadian Blood Services to help ensure that lifesaving blood products are available to hospital patients in need.

Gélinas has adopted the Azilda blood donor clinic and committed to recruit new donors and fill appointments to help collect 58 donations at the clinic.

“We’re pleased and proud to have the opportunity to help Give Life in this way,” said MPP Gélinas.

“We’re very excited about making a real difference in the lives of Canadian hospital patients. This year, 100,000 new blood donors are needed across Canada to meet patient needs – including 10,000 needed right here in our community. We invite Greater Sudbury residents to join us and make an appointment to donate blood.”

You can take part by making an appointment to give life at blood donor clinics within the Sudbury area, including the blood donor clinic at 944 Barrydowne Rd. To discover all the ways you can help and to book your appointment, visit blood.ca.

By adopting a clinic, organizations can make a difference in the lives of hospital patients. Choose a clinic date and recruit donors from within your organization, your networks, customers and community, and help give life to those in need.

Canadian Blood Services will work with interested organizations to plan and support their involvement.
