It’s that time of year again, when Italian-Canadians require a commissioner of oaths for their pension documents.

In collaboration with the Caruso Club, Sudbury MPP Jamie West is hosting a pension event at the Caruso Club on June 16 from 1-4:30 p.m.

West office staffer Nadia Verrelli, who speaks fluent Italian, will be available at the West End Italian club that day to take affidavits and administer oaths, affirmations or declarations.

“Anyone in Sudbury may also contact my office for many different affidavit and commission reasons,” West said in a news release. “If you require the services of a Commissioner for Taking Affidavits, administer oaths, affirmations, or declarations, please come see us during our regular hours.”

West’s office is located at 555 Barrydowne Rd., Unit 4B. It is open Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. No appointment is necessary and the service is offered free of charge.

Be ready to present:

  • Your completed document (note: the affidavit section must be signed in the presence of the Commissioner; please do not sign this section before coming into the office)
  • One piece of government-issued picture identification showing your name, address, and signature (note: provincial health cards will not be accepted)

If you have any questions, contact West’s office at [email protected] or at 705-675-1914.
