Queen Elizabeth II Public School students can thank classmate Tapanga Lecompte for their visit with author Robert Munsch next week. The Grade 2 student was among 50 children across northern Ontario to enter a story in CBC Radio?s Munsch Mania contest. Children wrote stories to answer the question: ?If I were in a Robert Munsch book, what would I be doing??

The author of popular children?s books will visit the school Friday, Sept. 20 at 9:15 a.m. Munsch will visit with students at Queen Elizabeth, spending more time with Lecompte?s class.

?The students are really looking forward to his visit and we can thank Tapanga for that,? says principal Jack Mallette.

And what did the young writer choose as her topic? ?I wrote about my dad being stuck on the toilet,? says Lecompte. She adds the story is fictitious.
