Downtown Sudbury BIA wants to know if business owners are for or against a casino in the Nickel City.

The business improvement group reached out to business owners in the downtown by email today, asking them to take part in a quick survey.

"As you are  aware, we are facing the prospect of a large full casino being built in our community," the message to businesses reads. "As this development could have negative or positive effects, the Board of Directors of 'Downtown Sudbury' BIA has been asked to communicate the will of its members to Sudbury City Council."

Business owners are asked to send a response by Nov. 17.

So what's the question?

Do you support, or oppose, the development of a full casino in the City of Greater Sudbury that would include an increase in the current number of slots and the introduction of gaming tables?

Downtown Sudbury said it plans on sharing the final result of the poll.
