Today’s "Windsor Star" reports that Liberal candidates are now asking Liberal Leader Kathleen Wynne to stay away from their ridings.
The Windsor Star article quotes local Liberals saying they’d rather not have the Leader in their campaign:
“The offer was made if we wanted it, and we turned it down…We basically told her we don’t need her to come down... we don’t feel that actually strengthens our chances.”
- Rino Bortolin, Liberal candidate for Windsor West
The Liberal campaign in neighbouring Windsor–Tecumseh wasn’t much more enthusiastic:
“Well, she is our Leader, and we would engage in that conversation, but that would be a broader discussion amongst our campaign and also probably as well with the other local campaigns.”
- Jordan Renaud, Campaign Manager to Liberal candidate Remy Boulbol in Windsor–Tecumseh
