Doug Ford is applying for the job of Premier of Ontario, but yesterday team Ford revealed they won’t share any details of what he would actually do as Premier.

As many have noted, Ford’s to-do list is not a platform:

“Wow. I wouldn’t even give this platform a grade. I’d hand it back as “Incomplete”.” – Mike Moffatt, Ivey Business School

Economist Jim Stanford crunched some of the missing numbers in Ford’s non-platform and concludes that deep cuts are inevitable:

“He needs $10-billion in cuts over three years to offset carbon tax revenue; $6-billion more to meet the efficiency target; and still more to pay for any additional tax cut promises. All that’s on top of $1.9-billion in annual spending cuts from cancelling cap and trade. All told, he will need to cut spending by close to $25-billion over three years – and around $10-billion in the third year alone. Cuts of this magnitude would significantly damage government services (all the more so given continual inflation and population growth).” – Jim Stanford, Globe and Mail, May 19, 2018

Now front-line health providers are sounding the alarm on Ford:

“Ontario nurses feel we can no longer stay silent about the Progressive Conservative (PC) Party’s lack of a full health care platform and your proposal to find ‘efficiencies’ in government spending.” – Vicki McKenna, President, Ontario Nurses Association

Will Doug Ford come clean about his plan to close hospitals, fire nurses and cut public services? Or will he continue to hide behind his un-costed non-platform?
