Carl A. Nesbitt Public School is inviting the community to purchase rain barrels and join them in their efforts to go green.

Orders are now being taken online at www.rainbarrel.ca/greenland.

Barrels will be available for pickup at Carl A. Nesbitt Public School, 1241 Roy St. in Sudbury, May 26 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There will also be a yard sale at the school on this date.

Only rain barrels ordered in advance will be guaranteed. The public may call Frank Katarincic at 705-507-0085 for assistance when ordering online or for additional information.

Residents are asked to bring their receipts to Carl A. Nesbitt Public School when picking up pre-ordered barrels. There may also be a limited number of barrels available on site.

Each rain barrel comes fully equipped with a leaf and mosquito filter basket, an overflow adaptor that allows multiple barrels to be connected in a series, 1.2 m of overflow hose and a spigot that attaches directly to a garden hose. Barrels are $55 each, with $10 supporting breast cancer research and Carl A. Nesbitt Public School.
