A new Cora Breakfast and Lunch restaurant opens its doors Dec. 4 at 470 Barrydowne Rd., in the old Pizza Hut location.

An official grand opening ceremony will take place Dec. 14.

Founder Cora Tsouflidou and local owner-franchisees Jenny, Karen and Jordan will proudly welcome local dignitaries, special guests and the Sudbury community for a true Cora celebration that will feature the symbolic cracking of eggs for the first omelette officially created in the restaurant.

The Sudbury location is part of a nationwide expansion of the Cora network, making it the 41st in Ontario.

Cora is the largest sit-down breakfast operation in Canada and the chain’s growth will continue, as more openings are scheduled in the coming months.

On Sunday, Dec. 3, the location will be holding a special Friends and Family Day where all funds will be raised for the Inner City Home of Sudbury. The donated amount will be presented during the grand opening.

The Cora restaurant chain is famous for its all-day breakfast fare that boasts mounds of fresh fruit artfully prepared by specially trained on-site “fruiters.”

The restaurant will be open Monday to Saturday, from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
