The Northern Ontario film industry has a new studio in the Sudbury region.

BRB Studio (Black Rectangle Brand) is a 10,000-square-feet multipurpose production facility dedicated to photography and the motion picture arts.

With modern commercial office spaces and a show-ready studio floor, the location has already emerged as a top destination for film productions looking to call Northern Ontario home, said a press release from the studio.

Founded as the Club Allegri community hall in Coniston, the space has been renovated and restored to offer top-quality studio amenities.

“BRB Studio and our team are committed to launching another economic driver in the area,” said the press release. “We hope to draw artists, technicians, writers and producers in order to position this former mining town as a hub for Ontario’s northern film community.”

BRB Studio founder, Peter Mihaichuk, has over 15-years-experience in Canada’s film industry, working as production designer and Art Director for top-tier productions including Star Trek Discovery, American Gods, Predator, Letterkenny and Prison Break.
