The Salvation Army in Sudbury welcomed new leadership recently.

In a news release this week, the Salvation Army introduced its new Cedar Place executive director, Barbara Ridley, who leads a team to care for the women and family shelter. As well, in July, Cadet Jeff Robertson and Cadet Miya Bradburn arrived as the new pastors of the Salvation Army’s church on Lorne Street, as well as leading the community and family services ministry on Notre Dame Avenue.

Ridley brings “a vast experience” in health and addictions to her role at Cedar Place, the group said.

“I am thrilled to be joining such a passionate team here that cares for those in the shelter. We want to ensure that we continue to offer the support needed by our guests to help get them back on their feet. In this ever-changing world, some things never change: people need to be loved and cared for. That is what we do at The Salvation Army.”
