Construction on the school was completed last winter, but only junior kindergarten to Grade 2 students moved in after the March break.
Grade 3-8 students remained at the former Wembley Public School, where they'd been attending classes while the new MacLeod was built.
The staged move-in gave contractors a chance to complete the landscaping so there was enough room for all of the school's 550 pupils to play.
Although the school will be fully occupied as of this fall, there are still a few details that need to be completed. For example, the soccer field will remain roped off until next year to give the sod time to take hold.
An official opening of the school will take place Sept. 10 starting at 10 a.m.
