A new French public elementary school will be built in Val Caron. Conseil scolaire du district du Grand Nord de l?Ontario (CSDGNO) has announced the new French language public elementary school is scheduled to open in September 2004.

Conseil scolaire du district du Grand Nord de l?Ontario (CSDGNO) has announced the new French language public elementary school is scheduled to open in September 2004.

The school will offer education for students from junior kindergarten to Grade 6.

CSDGNO has already opened four elementary schools in the Sudbury area since its inception in 1998.

Details pertaining to the construction and site of the new school will be provided in the near future.

In other news, the French public school board has appointed Linda Lacroix-Belanger as principal at Ecole publique Pavillon-de-l?Avenire in Chelmsford.

Lacroix-Belanger is currently a teacher at the school. She has extensive experience as a principal, holding that title at Conseil scolaire des Aurores boreales elementary in Thunder Bay and at a secondary school at Superior North Catholic District School Board in Thunder Bay.
