NHLers and doctors hit the ice for NEO Kids

Second installment of benefit game draws more players and a big crowd

NHL stars and Sudbury doctors squared off at Countryside Arena on Thursday night for the second annual NHL vs Docs hockey game.

The event was spearheaded by Columbus Blue Jackets captain Nick Foligno and Dr. Sean Murray last year, and this year's game featured even more doctors and more NHL players.

Foligno says this is a great event to support NEO Kids and that he's proud of the support from a number of his teammates for making the trip to Sudbury, as well as Sudburians for coming out to the game.

"When I was first starting out in the league in Ottawa we had a really great leadership group of veteran guys who showed me how important it is to give back," said Foligno.

"Now I'm kind of in the same role, I've brought a bunch of the younger guys from Columbus and they came up no problem which is great to see them taking part in things like this."
