No injuries after school bus almost tips in Garson

'Less-than-ideal' road conditions cause bus to slip into ditch

A Northway Bus Lines school bus slipped off the road and into a ditch Monday morning, on its way to drop off a group of students.

The incident occurred around 8:40 a.m. on O'Neil Drive in Garson, said Staff Sgt. Robin Marcotte of the Greater Sudbury Police.

There were no injuries to the driver or students.

A representative of the Northway Bus Lines said the incident occurred as a result of less than ideal road conditions.

The roadway was closed temporarily for a tow truck to remove the vehicle but has since been reopened.
