No new confirmed local COVID-19 cases since weekend; Ontario cases up by 379

There are now 4,726 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Ontario. That's up 379 over yesterday.

A total of 153 people with COVID-19 have now died in the province, according to the latest stats from the Ontario Ministry of Health. That's another 21 deaths over yesterday.

There are 1,802 cases that are considered resolved, meaning the person has recovered.

Ontario has 614 patients who are hospitalized with COVID-19, 233 who are in the ICU with the virus, and 187 who are on ventilators.

Public Health Sudbury & Districts still has the same number of confirmed COVID-19 patients as it did on the weekend — 26.

One person had died in Sudbury, and 13 cases are considered resolved.

The health unit reports that it has done 1,005 tests to date, with 673 people testing negative, and 306 people currently under investigation for the virus.

In Northern Ontario, there are now 103 confirmed positive cases of COVID-19. That's up from 96 yesterday. 

In Canada as a whole, there are now 17,063 COVID-19 cases (both confirmed and probable), and 345 deaths.
