The Influential Women of Northern Ontario Awards Program celebrates the achievements of women. Every year, we gather together to recognize the
incredible contributions that women business leaders make in communities.

This year, eight women, four from northeastern Ontario and four from northwestern Ontario, will be honoured at two celebratory luncheons.

The awards program honours women in four categories: private sector, public sector, exporting and young entrepreneur. The award recipients will be honoured for their leadership, vision and unwavering commitment to succeed. They have truly made a difference by impacting positively on economic wealth, job creation and growth.

Last year, Kathy Wells-McNeil, owner of Total Nursing Care in Sudbury, was the recipient of the 2004 Young Entrepreneur Award for northeastern Ontario. She demonstrated that by believing in yourself, you can achieve anything.

Since 1998, the Influential Women of Northern Ontario Awards program has been dedicated to acknowledging women who make a positive difference.
