Vale made their final offer of settlement to USW Local 2020-05 on Wednesday, March 29.
The current collective agreement between Local 2020-05 and Vale expires at midnight on Friday.
"Vale has put forth a final Offer of Settlement to USW Local 2020-05. The Bargaining Team from Local 2020-05 will now present the settlement offer to its members," said Angie Robson, Manager, Corporate & Aboriginal Affairs, Vale, in a statement issued Wednesday.
"The negotiations process has been productive and respectful, and we are hoping for a positive outcome."
