Ontario Progressive Conservative Party leadership race candidate Doug Ford is holding a rally in Greater Sudbury tonight (Feb. 27).

The rally takes place at the Caruso Club starting at 6:30 p.m.

“Doug Ford will be speaking with Sudbury residents and local PC Party Members about the voting process for the leadership race and his plans for a better Ontario,” said a media advisory issued by Ford.

“Team Ford verification assistants will be at the event to help members register.”

Ford, 53, is a former Toronto city councillor who ran unsuccessfully for mayor of Toronto in 2014. He's best known as the brother of the late Rob Ford, the controversial former mayor of Toronto.

After Patrick Brown bowed out of the race yesterday, there are now four people vying to become the next Ontario PC leader: Ford, Christine Elliott, Tanya Granic Allen and Caroline Mulroney.
