Ontario Provincial Police has reported that a charge in connection with an historical sexual assault was filed against a person living in Little Current.
Police said the charge is the result of an investigation into matters that occurred over a long period of time.
Police said Allan Genereux, aged 55, from Little Current was arrested, taken into custody and charged with:
- Sexual Assault, contrary to section 271 of the Criminal Code (CC).
- Fail to Comply with Probation Order, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the CC
The accused was held for a bail hearing and is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Gore Bay November 22, 2021, said police.
Police said there may have been similar occurrences involving the accused person in other circumstances.
