A $40,000 donation to the Northern Ontario Families of Children with Cancer capped off the 15th Miss North Ontario Regional Canada Scholarship Pageant recently.
While Wawa’s Morgandy Leadbetter was crowned the winner, it’s the families who rely on the NOFCC that are benefitting the most from the annual event.
Two delegates from Greater Sudbury were among the top finishers in the pageant, including first runner up Ava Derro, and second runner up Milena Raso. Almost $10,000 in cash scholarships were awarded to the participating delegates.
Miss North Ontario Regional Canada offered workshops and training on personal empowerment, recognizing your next level identity, bullying prevention, positive body image, self defense, interview and runway coaching, public speaking, accessorizing your wardrobe, optional fitness and talent and so much more.
